Graphic Tips

Photoshop Users (Rastor)

Product templates are available to download under the product descriptions.

Whether you use our templates or you create your own document, please make sure the dimension of your file is the EXACT SIZE of the finished size, and the starting resolution is at least 125 DPI.

Image Resolution

**Photos and graphics must be AT LEAST 125 DPI at FULL SIZE**

Displays for Church and Diers Exhibit are not responsible for any discrepancies in the product if the files were not submitted within our requirement guidelines.

If you have any questions on how to configure your images and graphics to 125  DPI, please contact our design specialist.

Below are the steps to making your images 125 DPI.

In Photoshop, you can go to IMAGE -> IMAGE SIZE to find out your file resolution.

Determine Image Quality from Source

Good Quality:
High resolution / high quality stock photography
High resolution / high quality scanner

Low Quality:
Screen capture of video frame
Low resolution / low quality stock photography
Image lifted off a web-page
High and Low resolution difference

Hight and Low resolution difference

Why 125 DPI?

Since your banner will be a large format print, you don’t need to prepare your file in 300 DPI which is usually used for smaller format print, however, if you're image is 300 DPI that is perfectly fine.

If you are uncertain of the quality of your images, please call us at 800-831-0905 or email us at info@displaysforchurch.com.

Color Mode

Your file has to be in CMYK mode.
IMAGE -> MODE -> CMYK

RGB (used for web and screen images)
CMYK (used for printed images and material)

Saving

When you are done with the design, flatten all the layers, then save as .TIF.

If you need our graphic designers to modify your art work, don’t flatten any layers, but instead convert all text to shapes.
(Graphic modification – $85 per hour. Please call for estimated time.)
LAYER -> TYPE -> CONVERT TO SHAPE

You are almost done!

Before you upload the file(s) to us, view your graphic in actual pixel view. VIEW -> ACTUAL PIXEL
Review the entire graphic carefully, especially your logo and photos if any, to make sure it looks good to you.
Because what you see in the actual pixel view is very close to what you will get on your banner(s).

If you are satisfied with what you see, please UPLOAD FILES Upload Files with your contact and order information.

Illustrator Users (Vector)

Image Resolution

Your images (any graphics that are not vector) need to be at least 125 DPI at FULL SIZE. If your entire graphic was created in Illustrator and contains no outside images, then the graphic will be vectors and will not be required to be configured to 125 DPI, as they are built as scalable vectors. Contact our design specialist if you have questions regarding wether or not your graphic needs to be reconfigured.
